Overview

Linx Ice Arena, located on the Beach Promenade, is the premier ice skating venue in the north-east of Scotland and is open seven days a week.

Ice Aberdeen is a recognised British Ice Skating Skate UK Learn to Skate provider.

At Ice Aberdeen we offer both group and private ice skating lessons, public ice skating sessions, parent and toddler sessions, as well as special ice skating events throughout the year.

The venue is also home to a number of local Aberdeen ice hockey teams and ice skating clubs and can seat over 1,000 visitors during games, events and tournaments.

Lessons and Coaching

At Ice Aberdeen we deliver the British Ice Skating Skate UK syllabus.

From total beginners to advanced skaters, our extensive programme of ice skating lessons is a fun, safe and great way to increase your skating skills and gain confidence on the ice. All ice skating lessons are taught by one of our friendly, experienced, British Ice Skating professional ice coaches and are available on a variety of days and times.

Most lessons are delivered in small groups of 10-15 participants, although private individual lessons are also available. For under 5s we recommend parent and toddler sessions.

Ice Skating Lessons

Our Skate UK lessons operate as a 50-week continuous programme, with a two-week break over the Christmas period.

Spaces are now bookable on a first-come-first-served basis for Phases 1-3 via Course Hub on MySportAberdeen. Our Adult classes and Skate Tots classes can now also be booked online.

If your preferred class is full, please add yourself or your child to the waiting list and we will let you know when a space becomes available.

Cancel my lessons

Please note that cancellation must be in line with the terms and conditions of your contract which were sent to you when joining. Please do not cancel your Direct Debit with your bank until we have received confirmation that you wish to cancel and have confirmed your termination date.
