This is an anti-discrimination and education workshop, promoting equality and tolerance within Scottish sport and wider society.

The primary objective of these workshops is to provide participants with:

• An up to date understanding of the prevalence of hate behaviours in Scottish society and specifically sport.
• More confidence to challenge hate behaviours if and when encountered.
• A better appreciation of the manifestations of hate behaviours.
• An understanding as to the potential consequences of hate behaviours both in sport and in wider society.

Cost per candidate: Free

This course provides basic lifesaving, first aid and workplace health and safety regulations.

Course content includes health and safety first aid regulations, managing an incident, priorities of first aid, treatment of an unconscious casualty, resuscitation, shock, choking, seizures, bleeding, and common sports workplace related injuries.

Please note that for dual date sessions you must complete both dates to complete your certificate.

This training includes an online module, which is theory-based, followed by a tutor-led online workshop.

This is suitable for all adults involved in sports organisations that have participants under 18 years of age. It is targeted at all practitioners, including coaches and volunteers working directly with children and young people.

All courses are delivered virtually.

Is your CWPS certificate about to expire? If yes, then you are eligible for the CWPS Renewal award. If no, then wait until it is about to expire and then start the renewal process. You can check your certificate for the expiry date or check with your governing body.

What is the CWPS Renewal award?

sportscotland is offering coaches and volunteers (the learner) the opportunity to advance their learning in CWPS, by giving access to renewal modules in various topics. Instead of just repeating CWPS training after 3 years (i.e completing module 1 & 2), the learner can renew their certificate for another 3 years by completing a series of eLearning. This learning is then valid for another 3 years and it is only then that the learner must complete the whole CWPS training again.

This 3-hour Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer (CWPO) Training is suitable for individuals responsible for leading their club or organisation in the wellbeing and protection of children and young people. Learners will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills to manage concerns through the use of interactive case studies and group work.

Using layered case studies, interactive group work and personal reflection tasks, delegates will be supported to develop key skills and knowledge required to promote the wellbeing of children and young people in sport and respond effectively to concerns of harm or abuse. As this workshop is aimed at those leading their organisation in this area, case management skills are a significant element of the training.

Those attending this workshop must have already attended a Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (CWPS) workshop.

Please note the minimum age to attend this workshop is 18 years.  All courses are delivered virtually.
